Interesting and Inspiring——Fun with TRIPTICO
In 21st century, the class is no longer a simple
place where teachers talk and students listen. Technology has shaped and
transformed the teaching content and with the help of different hardware and
software, language learning could be more attractive. Triptico is one of these useful
and convenient websites.
The first time I met Triptico when Tilly
introduce how personal tutor works at the beginning of the term. For students,
it’s quite easy to understand how it works: each student chooses one of the box
that matches the title. For example, “choose ten European cities”.
As you can
see in the picture, there are 15 cities which means 5 of them are wrong. If you
touch the right answer, the box will turn to green and you could click the
magnifying glass for further information.
However, if you are wrong, the box
will be red and it will tell you the reason why it’s wrong.
I like it because it is versatile, easy to
use and constantly updated, and what’s more, it’s free! I think Triptico is a
useful tool in the classroom because it has a large number of applications and
activities that help teachers attract students. It allows teachers to create some
attractive and interactive activities to help students learn and develop their
learning skills. From the former class, I noticed that we are all engaged in
the content. It is extremely interesting and can inspire teachers how to motivate students.
I strongly recommend this program, teachers
should improve class interaction and let students participate in their learning
process. This is an effective resource for learning, and that's
all, and it has a place in our classroom. I
encourage you to try it, too.

Hey Jerry! I agree with you- Triptico is well-designed, and it does keep the students engaged with the lesson. The sense of competitiveness along with the visual and auditory effects which it adds to the classroom have made us (Masters students) focused and involved, so no doubt younger learners will find a lot of enjoyment in it! I also think that when students are challenged, they get motivated to work in groups and to listen to other students' opinions, which increases their abilities to work with other people.

I envy your fortunate students, they have creative teachers! Will be trying language learning games on it. Should be great for the shy ones with nimble fingers!
