An extraordinary tool to share ideas: Padlet

Image
“Why do we still need to look for paper and pens to record things even when facing the computer?” This is the question of Nitesh Goel, thus Padlet is developed to solve this problem. It can create a virtual, interactive Web2.0 plug-in wall tool, the Chinese name is "online paper." You can drag any sticky note, while in the sticky note you can put the text information, upload local files, add images, videos, documents, etc. they can also be automatically saved. In today’s language learning, students are surrounded with a large amount of language materials, thus they need a place to discuss and exchange the ideas in or after class. Padlet is a good choice. Like what it says in the advertisement: “ Padlet is the easiest way to create and collaborate in the world .” It has very strong collaboration ability because it is multi-platform! no matter which system you have: PCs, Mac or smartphones, it is free to switch and easy to operate (just simple drag-and-operate)....

Interesting and Inspiring——Fun with TRIPTICO

In 21st century, the class is no longer a simple place where teachers talk and students listen. Technology has shaped and transformed the teaching content and with the help of different hardware and software, language learning could be more attractive. Triptico is one of these useful and convenient websites. The first time I met Triptico when Tilly introduce how personal tutor works at the beginning of the term. If you touch the right answer, the box will turn to green and you could click the magnifying glass for further information. However, if you are wrong, the box will be red and it will tell you the reason why it’s wrong.   I like it because it is versatile, easy to use and constantly updated, and what’s mo...

The ELT Blog

Image
In the last week I searched several blogs and one of them attracts me most, the link is below: http://learning2beateacher.blogspot.co.uk/?expref=next-blog It's not so well organized but i can found that the writer put much time into it. The background is green with the title : learning 2 be a teacher. the content is abundant and rich. for example, it gives the introduction on how to use prepositions with many sentences. Also, it provides some English learning games to the reader like fortunate teller game. Apart from lessons, it offers some interesting hand making games so that the teacher and the students could do it together.  All in all, i believe this is a good blog.
