Make your explanation more vivid----screencast-o-matic
Sometimes if you want to do some computer
teaching, the traditional way of illustration is to use screenshots or pictures
along with many explanation texts. After a series of actions is done, whether
it is a good teaching documents still remains a problem.
If there is a tool that through which we
could not only has screen recording function, but also operating the
description, allowing users to quickly understand the use of skills, it could
be a good show tool
In the past, there are many free or paid screen
recording software, but all of them need to upload the files online. There is an
on-screen screencasting tool called screencast-o-matic, which has many special
features.

2. Online use without having to install the
software, as long as you can use the Internet (perhaps it is also a
disadvantage)
3. After use can be directly linked with
the youtube upload video files, convenient and effective!
4. Quality and file size of upload are not
bad.
5. Recording results can also be stored
locally.
How to use
1. Visit the website
2. Click the start recording buttom
3. Use the control point [1]on the map to adjust the size of the window or move the location, to confirm the location and range to be recorded, you can click the record button [2] to start the recording screen. And if you have a microphone, you can also record the sound, so it is more convenient to explain!
4. If you finish, click the done to end this.
5. You can choose from two common ways:
1. Upload to your personal channel on youtube and apply the video address or inline syntax to the site or notify others
2. Save the file to your local computer
There are many reasons why we as a teacher could use Screencast-o-matic to create screencasts:
• The site is user-friendly and easy to create screenshots.
• For new users, it requires only a little training.
• Users can record the video of the webcam contained in the screenshot video (see below)
• The user can focus on the learner by selecting a specific area to record
• Websites can publish screen shots in a variety of ways.
While there are many benefits to using Screencast-o-matic, there are also drawbacks to using the
website for creating screencasts:
• Users cannot edit the screencast on the website or record more than 15 minutes without
purchasing the Pro edition for $15 per year.
• The screencasts produced from Screencast-o-matic are not interactive for students.
Still, Screencast-o-matic is an incredibly useful tool if you want to accompany slides and presentations with audio-visual narration and explanations. If you’ve ever wanted to keep the human element of presentations while sharing information across the Internet, then Movenote is definitely something you’ll want to try out.
